Lately I've been falling for these folklore-ish clothes, and recently I bought a 70's maxi dress also with embroidery, and it feels like something new and exciting in my wardrobe! I fell for this black maxi dress because it looked comfortable yet dramatic (I'm all for drama!), so how could it be wrong? ^^ Sadly, and not really a surprise, it's a bit short on me. I would have wanted it to be as long as in the picture, but of course I checked the measurements, so I knew it would be a little short. I might add some fabric somehow to make it longer, maybe fringes? Apart from that, I adore it. I can think of so many occasions to wear it! It's also on sale right now at Sammydress.

I don't want to get too personal on this blog, but right now I'm in a bit of a mess. Some things are great (I applied for a job and this far things are looking bright!!), but my "lovelife" is a total mess and I just want to be alone for a thousand years and never be able to hurt anyone ever again. But I want to keep blogging anyway, so I'm trying to keep up with it. Hope you all are well!

First, I have to tell you that I'm working every day all day right now (because Christmas), so I'm not posting as much as I would want to, and since I live in Sweden I haven't seen the sun in like a month (lie, but almost true), so it's hard to get out and take outfit photos... But I'll be back soon!

I love how quirky an outfit can get if you wear the same pattern all over, or the same colour all over. Wearing a t-shirt and skirt like this is so much different from having a dress in the same pattern, in my opinion (even if you can't really see that it's two pieces ... :P). I got this lil set form Yoyomelody, and they have it in white as well. The skirt is a bit longer than I expected, and HAS POCKETS which is very convenient because then I can wear it at work! And I'm planning on wearing the t-shirt with high waist shorts or slouchy jeans, and the skirt with a preppy collar shirt or red sweatshirt. I really like the pattern, because it's graphic but also fun, yay!

While putting this on I realised the hands were reaching for the pizza. Perfect. And then I had pizza with three friends ha!

I have to talk about this lipstick too! It's in a "lipgloss" container, with a wand, but it's nothing like a lipgloss, because it's really pigmented and dries matte, and stays on forever! I love this colour on me too (Nr 33 on the site), and I'm very happy I got it.

Super cold shoot by the lake yay! It's getting below zero now where I live, and I really felt it today. But I love winter in Sweden! Waiting for the snow ^^
If you follow the link to the skirt, you'll see that it's not really the same as in the pictures, but the last pics of the black one is more like reality. I'm happy with it anyway! It's not what I'd usually wear, I don't think I own anything with polka dots, but I love trying new stuff so yay here I go :P I thought it looked really nice in an all-white outfit. It's more of a summer skirt really, so I'll probably wear it when it gets warmer :) But what I love about these chiffon/mesh clothes is that they take up NO SPACE AT ALL, aahhhh ^^

I really wanted a big white faux fur, so I ordered this in XXL, but I find it quite small anyway. I wonder how small the S one is... But I like it nonetheless! It's a bit simple, without pockets, zipper, buttons, things like that, so it feels like a cardigan more than a coat/jacket, but it's still very warm! I can really see myself wearing this with some christmas-y outfits later this year.

THIS CARDIGAN THOUGH? It's too bad it doesn't really do good in photos, but it's super soft and fluffy and warm and blue and has these old-lady-appliqués! I really really love it and it works with everything.. BUT, as I said, you can't really tell how awesome it is in photos :(( booo

Faux Fur wants

I KNOW it's still summer, (even in Sweden) but I just can't stop thinking about all the pretty things I'll wear in the autumn. That is actually one of the best things with living here, the seasons. It can get quite cold in the winter and it can get totally-ok-warm in the summer, and spring and autumn are great here. And the fact that it changes a lot keeps the interest for clothes alive :P If I'm tired of summer clothes, well it's very soon over, and it's like that with every season. SO there's my excuse. Because here comes my little faux fur want post heeheehee! I already have five and they take up so much space, but I'm sorry, there WILL be more of them.

That estradeur one is so yummy, but I already have a light pink one so I don't think I have any excuse to buy it :( And last year I found this bad girl at a second hand market (it's looks a bit brighter than it was, but it was pastel patterned) but I didn't buy it because I'm stupid.

Ok so I'm wearing THREE things that I've created myself ^^ The dress, the bag and the lil choker. Do you like them? :D The bag doesn't really look that good in pictures, but irl it's so so pretty ^^ Not very well made but totally ok.
I really like this outfit, I'm so into lilac right now (and holographic stuff ofc, and faux fur (always) and platforms) and velvet, so eh, this sort of sums up what I like!!

Location / Occasion

I have a great friend, and she says "Let's go to this awesome place and take photos!" and I say "No, that's probably not possible" but then we do it anyway.
We visited an "abandoned" castle (it's not abandoned, people live there, but it has an abandoned look). If you know Swedish, here is a great article about it. We were amazed! And after speaking to the nice woman living there, we took some pictures in the garden.

LOOK I MADE A THING! Yes, I made the coat myself, and it included a lot of guessing and improvising, but hah! I made something out of a blanket :D read more about it here.

DIY YETI fur coat! ...and update!

Helloooo!!
I've been very busy the last two months, with a lot of work and a lot in school, so no time for LB or the blog :(

...BUT! when I was working very hard at the book store around christmas, every day when I got home, I worked a little on my YETI FUR! I bought a sort of furry blanket for the Great Gatsby-paarty we had at the end of the summer, which I wore as a bolero or little jacket, just folded over the shoulders. After that I didn't want it in my apartment because it doesn't really fit in there, but I liked the fabric... HMMMM! So I thought I'd make a fur coat out if it :D I don't know how to sew, but I have a sewing machine, so I just tried and I'm really happy with the result!

YETI FUR COAT
Here is what I did:

I cut the pieces on the fur side so I was able to comb away the fur from the scissors, to keep as much fur as possible. The "vest" was all one piece, so I didn't have to sew them together. The blanket was exactly as wide as the vest part was supposed to be :D In the first picture you can see how the blanked looked before. (And I'm actually sitting on it in this outfit)
